TECHNIQUE
Basic to advanced hand and feet technique will be taught to ensure comfortable playing and professional touch on the instrument. Rudiments and technical exercises will be taught along with exercises on limb Coordination and Independence.
SIGHT READING
Alongside practical learning, theory and the ability to read music from staff notation will be taught. Sight reading will be incorporated gradually in all exercises to equip the student to read music and to prepare the student for Rockschool/Trinity syllabi if they choose to pursue it.
STYLISTIC STUDIES
A range of grooves and improvisational techniques in styles such as Rock, Funk, Jazz, Latin, Afro Cuban will be taught using backing tracks and songs. Further, songs and styles of student's preference will be included.
CERTIFICATIONS
If a student wishes to pursue certifications from either Rockschool or Trinity for grade 1-8 examinations, the respective syllabi shall be covered and the student will be assisted in exam preparation and the registration process.
